Summary: We very much liked this friendly local hotel. It has a nice quiet location a few minutes walk south-west of Thamel and nearer to Kathmandu Durbar Square (a 10 min walk). There is a very nice courtyard where we enjoyed our breakfast, each floor of the hotel has it's own balcony and there's also a simple roof terrace where we liked to sit in the evening. Room & bathroom were fairly basic but clean and the bed was comfortable. We liked free drinking water being readily available from a large water container in reception rather than plastic 1 litre bottles to help reduce plastic. WiFi worked fine. Staff were all great with the two front desk staff especially helpful when my daughter had an on-line job interview using the hotel's business office. There seemed to be a lot of returning guests which is always a good sign.
