Positive: The location is excellent for the Zhangjiajie forest park - about a five minute drive from the entrance. The owner of the resort is very helpful in advising on routes and will take you to the entrance. It is also very peaceful and quiet. The staff were very helpful with touring arrangements and food. The room was large and comfortable. The room cleaner even washed my clothes without being asked!

Negative: Nothing major. A previous guest had left a plastic sweet wrapper in the teapot - which was annoying. One thing to note on the location: it is on the west side of the park, while some attractions (the Grand Canyon, Huanglong Cave) are on the east side. This involves a 90km each way journey to circle the park. It is not a big problem if you have time. Also, I think I was the only guest there during my stay, which made it peaceful, but a little isolating.
