Howzit! Our name is Long Street Backpackers, one of South Africa's oldest hostels located in the heart of Cape Town's bustling CBD. We're an old-school, community-centric party hostel that believes connections and people are at the core of what makes great memories.
Located on one of South Africa's most iconic party streets, Long Street Backpackers is just a stone's throw away from the best of Cape Town's nightlife, food, historic sites, and natural phenomena. There's always something to do, some come prepared for some good times and late nights.
We can sleep up to 80 guests in our iconic brick building. We also boast a lush itnernal courtyard that's perfect for braais (barbeques), ping-pong, billiards, chilling, and meeting fellow travellers. Our hostel has two stories accompanied by sun-drenched balconies and views of Long Street and Signal Hill. We offer dormitory-style accommodation, as well as single, twin, and double private rooms - all with shared bathrooms.
For leisure and work, we have a TV room that's perfect for some chilling as well as a dedicated workspace for digital nomads. The hostel also provides free fibre-speed wifi, free towels, a communal kitchen space for guests to make their meals, an on-site spaza shop and bar, as well as our amazing team that will make your stay unforgettable.
